Careers fair in Portlaoise

Ireland’s top universities and Institutes of technology will be making their pitches to new students at a careers morning on Wednesday December 3 in Portlaoise College, open to students and parents from other schools.

Ireland’s top universities and Institutes of technology will be making their pitches to new students at a careers morning on Wednesday December 3 in Portlaoise College, open to students and parents from other schools.

Making presentations will be IT Carlow, Athlone IT, Limerick IT, Dublin IT, Maynooth University, Universtity of Limerick, University College Dublin, Dublin City University, University College Cork, NUI Galway and Portlaoise Institute of Further Education,

Each institution will give two talks on the morning followed by a general exhibition. Students and guests will be able to attend talks by two different institutions and have further discussions with representatives at the fair.

The day is billed as an exciting opportunity for both the secondary school and PLC students where they will be able to attend a variety of presentations and meet college representatives.

It will help CAO and PLC applicants to make the right choices for them in higher education.
