South Laois cycle
South Laois Tourism in conjunction with Ossory Cycling Club will stage the 90k Mid Summer Cycle Challenge ( ten towns tour) on Sunday 21st June. Starting from the Square Durrow at 10am with registration from 9.30am the tour continues through Cullahill, Rathdowney, Clough, Ballacolla, Ballinakill, Ballyouskill (where refreshments will be had in the Wheel Inn) Ballyragget, Lisdowney, Gathabawn and concludes back in Durrow. Fee 20euro, BBQ at finish in Decs Bar Durrow. A 20k Family cycle will also be held with a start time of 11am. This spin will leave the square Durrow and continue through Cullahill, the Five Cross roads to Supermac’s Junction 3 Ballacolla where refreshments will be provided before returning to Durrow via Harveys Cross and the Woodenbridge .This event which is part of National Bike WeeK is free of charge so come along and enjoy the day.
