Gardaí investigating the disappearance of Aoife Phelan are now focusing their search on the River Barrow.
Two sections of the Garda Water Unit are at the site between Monasterevin and Portlaoise.
The M7 was earlier today (Tuesday, November 6) closed for a time as Gardaí carried out a ground search.
The motorway has since reopened (apart from one northward bound lane) and the search is focused on a section of the river Barrow beneath the new M7 Motorway near Ballybrittas.
One lane of the M7 Limerick/Dublin Rd remains closed northbound between J15 Ballybrittas and J14 Monasterevin and diversions have lifted following the earlier full closure.
Aoife was four months pregnant when she went missing from a friend’s home in Portlaoise twelve days ago.
Yesterday Gardaí arrested a 24-year-old man known to Aoife on suspicion of her murder and he is still being questioned at Portlaoise Garda Station.
