Children’s Stations and Veneration of the Cross in St Clare’s at 7pm followed by Ecumenical way of the Cross to St Mary’s Cathedral and Carlow Cathedral. The procession will make its way to St Mary’s Cathedral and the Cathedral of the Assumption via Maryborough Street and will process through the park where they will stop on a number of occasions for reflection. Children preparing for First Holy Communion in St Clare’s will participate at this Service.

This is the Fourth year for our parish to hold this special Mass. People travelling to the Mass are asked to arrive no later than 6.15am. Please bring warm clothing, a folding chair or stool and where possible share transport in order to assist with parking. There was no winner of the recent lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 07, 15, 24 and 28. The quarterly collection for the support of the priests of the parish will be taken up at all Masses over the Easter weekend. Envelopes are in envelope boxes or alternatively you can use the special envelopes available at the church doors.
ORDINATION OF DEACONS
Due to the delay in the announcement of our new Bishop the ordination of the seven deacons which was due to take place in Carlow Cathedral on Sunday, May 19 has now been postponed until the new Bishop is appointed. We continue to ask God’s blessings on Joe O’Rourke from our parish and the other six deacons as they continue their studies.
COMMUNION TO THE SICK
Fathers John and Brian will bring Holy Communion to the sick and housebound for Easter on this Tuesday and Wednesday, March 26 and 27.
