A live animal crib is now open daily in the square, Rathdowney, until Christmas Eve.
The crib (beside The Card Stand) is open from 11am to 8pm, according to one of the organisers, Michael Creagh.
“It features goats, donkeys, sheep and maybe a pony and possibly a cow nearer to Christmas,” he said.
Carrots will be on hand to feed the animals, with no need to bring food. Small children must be supervised.
“It’s a lovely opportunity in particular for children and adults who normally might not get a chance to get close to animals,” said Mr Creagh.
Free admission. Donations to St Vincent De Paul Rathdowney.
