A Portlaoise man has been accused of drunkenly breaking the window of a house.
Daniel Lawless, 5 Mountain View Square, Portlaoise, was charged at a recent of Portlaoise District Court with being intoxicated in a public place, using threatening or abusive behaviour, and criminal damage, at Main Street, Stradbally, on April 6.
Inspector Aidan Farrelly said Lawless was “highly intoxicated” on the night, and the gardaí received a report of criminal damage in the area.
Insp Farrelly said that the alleged injured party had pointed Lawless out as the person who had broken the window of his house.
Defence solicitor, Ms Anne Manning said Lawless required a hearing date, and the matter was put back to November 4.
