Portarlington, Killenard and Stradbally have galvanised into action to support the bereaved Treacy family in Port.

The first of many coffee mornings takes place this Sunday June 8 in Mount St Anne’s Retreat, Killenard, with another on June 12 in the Primary Health Care Centre, Portarlington.

A big raffle has top prizes of Electric Picnic tickets and a €500 holiday. Tickets on sale from today Tuesday in many outlets.

Tickets can also be bought, and donations made, online through the facebook page, ‘Bubbles for Ciaran’.

The final fundraising day of August 8 will begin with a golf classic in Portarlington Golf Club, teams €200, followed by a public auction that evening in Portarlington’s square.

Treasurer of the committee is Port Credit Union manager Michael McEvoy, who will make regular account statements, and a final total announced on August 8.

Organisers of coffee mornings are asked to register with Teresa Briody at 087 6380618.

Donate in Port Credit Union and see Port and Stradbally notes for regular updates.
