Keep out of Monasterevin

A Portarlington man charged with two assaults and breach of the peace has been granted bail on condition he keep out of Monasterevin.

Further bail conditions imposed on Wayne McCormack at last week’s Portlaoise District Court are that he must reside at 99 The Elms, Kilnacourt Woods, Portarlington; he must have no contact either directly or indirectly with any witnesses in the case; he must have no contact with the injured party; and he must sign on daily at the garda station. He must not enter Monasterevin at any time, until his case is completed.

Defence, Mr Declan Breen requested a statements order, and the matter was adjourned to July 3.
