THE identity of Abbeyleix’s €8.6 million lotto jackpot winner remains unknown.

The National Lottery press office confirmed to the ‘Leinster Express’ yesterday (Tuesday, September 11) that no one has yet come forward to claim the massive jackpot on offer for the Wednesday, August 29 draw.

The winning €8 QuickPick ticket was sold in Moran’s newsagents, Main Street, Abbeyleix on the previous Friday fuelling speculation and rumour that the country’s newest multi millionaire could be a local person.

The ticketholder has ninety days from the date of the draw to claim their prize.
