Body found in Aoife Phelan search

Gardai have recovered a body in the search for missing Laois woman, Aoife Phelan.

The discovery was made just before midday in a Garda dig in a field at the back of a building on the Timahoe Road.

The area has now been sealed off.

It is understood that the State Pathologist has now been called to the location.

A 24-year old man who was questioned in connection with the disappearance was released last night. A file has been sent to the DPP.
