Bus subsidy assured

A subsidy has been granted for the Abbeyleix to Urlingford bus route, according to South Laois Tourism.

The bus route was being served by M & A Coaches, but at their request, their contract will terminate on Friday February 8.

A new bus service will go out to tender in early February.

However the National Transport Authority have assured all that there will be an interim service in lace until the tender process is complete.
