CAN Cllr Kathleen O’Brien’s pet dog read road signs?

So asked Cllr Willie Aird at the recent town council meeting. Cllr O’Brien had proposed a motion to erect dog fouling signs on all roads in the county, after receiving many complaints from people.

“Some people are very good with doggy bags, but some don’t care,” she said.

“I’ve seen Cllr O’Brien’s dog out walking by himself,” remarked Cllr Aird. “Can he read the signs himself?”

Cllr Jerry Lodge suggested placing a warden at green areas to monitor the problem of dog fouling.
