Councillor lend a Hand

THE potholes at the entrance to Wellview Terrace in Portlaoise are such “humdingers”, Cllr Alan Hand is considering filling them in himself if the county council doesn’t take action.

The councillor’s cheek may well have been filled with his tongue, when he made the suggestion at the recent meeting of Portlaoise Town Council.

“There are two hundingers there that could do damage to a car - I might even go down and fill them in myself,” he said.

Farhan Nasiem, town engineer, said that this will be investigated and will be repaired as required.
