Dark path to GAA pitch

There is no money to extend a path from Rosenallis village to the GAA pitch, or put up a streetlight.

Cllr Seamus McDonald was unhappy with this response to his request from Laois County Council, heard a the recent Mountmellick area meeting.

“This is a dangerous area, there is a lot of activity with matches. A path and a light are needed, is there no hope of doing a small bit?” he asked.

“We can look for funding later in the year,” said council engineer Tom O’Carroll.
