Fix Mountrath’s footpaths

CllR John Joe Fennelly wants Laois County Council to reinstate paths on Main Street in Mountrath.

The councillor said funding has been provided for repairs of footpaths in the annual budget.

A reply from John O’ Donoghue said that the repair would be considered as part of the 2013 allocation. Senior executive engineer Michael Malone said that previous work had been done out of the area’s discretionary budget but the is very limited funding for footpaths.
