Forest road patched up

Mountmellick’s Forest road is to receive patch repairs following a request by Cllr David Goodwin.

The section of road leading to Dunphy’s house will be repaired, said council engineer Tom O’Carroll.

“The road will be considered for next year’s road strengthening programme,” he said.

“I suppose that’s the best we can do,” replied Cllr Goodwin, who raised the problem at last Monday’s area meeting.
