Horses on nightshift

Horses are doing nightshifts on the Ballycullenbeg Esate in Mountmellick. So, in effect, claimed Cllr Marc Connolly at the Town Council monthly meeting last week.

He said loose horses were coming into the area after 6pm--and were taken away early in the morning. They were even going into people’s front gardens, he added.

Cllr Denis O’Mara: “Animals are left out at two or three in the morning to do a bit of grazing.”

Cllr Bobby Delaney told of seeing Gardai dealing with loose horses on Bay Road.
