Improve Borris signs for safety reasons

LAOIS County Council needs to improve signs for safety reasons at the school and church in Borris in Ossory, according to Councillor Brendan Phelan.

“There was a fine carpark there and and when the new school was built, half the carpark was given over to it. There have been a few very close calls there. The council needs to put a sign in and out. There is no signage and those not familiar don’t know. They could bring out the existing signs”, he said.

Senior executive engineer Michael Malone said that this will be examined and he said that he would meet councillors at the area to discuss the problem.
