Millbrook hold-up

Laois County Council can not take Millbrook Estate in charge, as “there are outstanding issues that have not been addressed by the developer.”

A call to take it on was made by Cllr Kathleen O’Brien at the recent Portlaoise TC meeting.

“I am disappointed to hear that. It has been finished and landscaped, the residents are looking after it, they are concerned. Lights and cleaning are the problem,” she said.

“The developer hasn’t given in drawings to show where piping is, we can’t take it in charge and be landed with a pup,” said Cllr Jerry Lodge.

Chairperson Cllr Catherine Fitzgerald undertook to speak with planning and progress the issue.
