No hunting plea

THE National Association of Regional Game Councils (NARGC), Ireland's largest hunting organisation, is urging its members, and all hunters, not to hunt game birds during the current cold weather conditions.

“As all game hunters will be only too well aware, severe cold weather conditions have a serious affect on wild birds and their ability to find food, particularly waterfowl,” said the association.
