Port’s gala ball is all sold out

It is still almost three weeks away, but tickets for the annual Charity Gala Ball in The Heritage Golf and Spa Resort, Killenard have completely sold out.

All 400 tickets, priced at €50 have been snapped up well ahead of the glittering ball, which takes place on Friday, February 22.

Organiser Marie Corcoran is thrilled at the strong local support of their ball, held every year for the past eight years for a variety of Laois Charities. This year it is the turn of the autism support group LOFFA to get a much needed boost.

“We are absolutely delighted at the reponse this year, and we send our apologies to anybody who hasn’t managed to get a ticket. Killenard are ready to go with the red carpet, and the boutiques, beauticians and hairdressers are all busy, it’s a great bit of business for Portarlington, but this is all about helping autism,” she said.

Celebrity barrister Gerald Kean is returning again this year to lend his kind support to the charity ball, among other special guests yet to be announced. The Keith McDonald Showband also return to perform for the lucky 400, and a four course meal with complimentary wine and fabulous spot prizes will guarantee a fantastic night once again.
