Repairs to be carried out

THE culvert at New Line Road, Mountrath that has been damaged for a number of months will be repaired by Laois County Council.

Replying to Cllr John Joe Fennelly at the Borris-in-Ossory electoral area meeting , Senior Executive Engineer Michael Malone said concrete steel reinforced deep slap had been priced and ordered.

Mr Malone pointed out that repair works were completed to the road from Knockaroo Church to Kilcotton Cross.

As soon as resources allow, the Council will carry out essential road works at Clonincurragh, Mountrath and it will install gullies to remove flooding from outside Ryan’s house in Shanboe.
