Switch on the lights

Public lights had been erected near Turley’s pub, but still hadn’t been turned on, said Cllr Bobby Delaney. at this months meeting of Mountmellick Town Council.

He also spoke of trees and shrubs obscuring lights at Acragar and Davitt Road.

Cllr Michael Gormley said the lights outside the Concert Hall were “not on at all.”

Meanwhile, Cllr Stephen Lynch said loose stones were spilling on to the road at Hill 60.

Deputy Coounty Manager Ian McCormack: “We will have a look at it.”
