Leinster players Rob Kearney, Eoin Reddan, Darragh Fanning, Brendan Macken and Noel Reid were on hand to launch this year’s The Herald Leinster Rugby Summer Camps.
The camps will take place in 21 venues throughout the province in July and August. Portlaoise Rugby Club will play host to a camp from July 21 to July 25. The camps run Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
The camps are open to boys and girls aged 6 to 12 and are run by fully accredited IRFU coaches.
As well as learning new skills, meeting Leinster players, making new friends and having lots of fun each child will receive a Canterbury of New Zealand pack including a T-Shirt, a ball, a boot bag and a water bottle. They will also get one free junior ticket to a selected Leinster game.
An early bird rate of €70 is available for children who enrol before June 6. After this date, the cost of attending the camp will be €89 per child. You can book a second camp for your child for just €50.
Speaking at the launch of The Herald Summer Camps, Leinster Full Back Rob Kearney said, “This is a great way for kids to learn what it’s like to be part of the Leinster culture and get expert skills training in a fun environment. The Leinster players love being involved in these camps. It’s a great chance for us to meet supporters and, who knows, maybe see future Leinster stars in the making.”
