Both Ballylinan and Timahoe recorded comfortable wins in the Laois Ladies Senior Football Championship.
Park Ratheniska 1-3
A goal in the first ten minutes from Park Ratheniska raised hopes of close contest in this second round Laois Ladies SFC encounter in Ratheniska on Saturday, but Ballylinan, buoyed up by their win over Shanahoe in the first round, pulled away and led by 0-9 to 1-0 at the break.
The Park Ratheniska defence performed well throughout the game but were unable to curtail an excellent Ballylinan forward line led by Chloe Ryan, who was her side’s top scorer. Other scores came from Melissa O’Brien and Louise Doyle. Charlotte Delaney was the main contributor for Park-Ratheniska.
