The Irish Under 18 Power Chair Football Team is travelling to Paris to represent the country in the Under 18 Power Chair Football World Cup.

Trials took place at the start of the summer and a panel of twelve players was selected. Included on the panel are Midlands United players, Neil Sheehan, Tom Donogher, Sean Donogher (Offaly) and Emer O’ Sullivan (Portlaoise), a student of Scoil Chriost Ri.

The team will travel to Paris and play against teams from France, Finland and USA in the group stages. They expect to face stiff competition from their International opponents and the Midlands United players will need to call on the experience they gained while participating in the recent European Champions Cup competition to keep the opposition at bay.

Also included on the panel are players from Dublin, Cork, Kerry, Meath and Belfast. The competition will be played over four days and we wish the team the best of luck.
