Tynan’s Restaurant opened at The Storeyard, Portlaoise on September 6th 2012.  It is owned and managed by Imelda Devitt (nee Tynan) who has over thirty years’ experience in the food and restaurant industry.

Tynan’s has been very fortunate to have a loyal customer base which has grown steadily in the last four years.

Imelda’s food philosophy, which prioritises taste and flavour while using the best quality ingredients, is central to the foundation and growth of the business. All food is made from scratch every day. Much of the vegetables are grown in her own garden, supplemented then by other produce sourced predominantly from local suppliers. Most of the daily customers come for the extensive hot counter and salad choices or those looking for lighter options, the daily soup choices are homemade and all fillings for wraps and sandwiches are also made fresh daily.  Imelda wants Tynan’s to be the perfect destination for food lovers who like to be served beautiful home cooked food where the emphasis is always on flavour and best quality.  Everything is about a little well deserved home cooked indulgence delivered with top class customer service.

The staff focus is also on superior customer service, remembering that every customer is important and should leave Tynan’s feeling all the better for the food eaten and the service received. The staff is specially trained so that they too would understand Imelda’s food and service philosophy and this continues to be the daily focus of the team.
