Laois multiple All-Ireland ref Maurice Deegan to be honoured in his native county

The 2016 Laois GAA Awards winners were decided last week, with Colm Begley and Brian Stapleton claiming top honours while multiple All-Ireland football final referee Maurice Deegan is to be given a special award.

A total of 21 winners will be presented at the Awards night takes place on Friday, November 25 in the Portlaoise Heritage Hotel.

While some competitions have yet to be completed, the full list of winners to date is as follows:
