Portarlington’s Sean Keogh-Grincell will make the trip to Slovakia on Wednesday, October 19 to take part in the European Taekwon Do championships.
It will be the foruth time Keogh-Grincell has represented Ireland, having travelled to New Zealand earlier this year to take part in the world championships. He is trained by Stephen Coole, one of the top Taekwon Do instructors in the country, who has an impressive track record in producing champion fighters.
The Port youngster had been putting in the hours in training for the event, and he be hoping it all pays off as he will need to be at the top of his game to come away with continental gold. He also hopes to contest a world title fight in the UK in the near future.
