Australia convict talk by historian hosted by Laois Heritage Society

The deportation of Irish people to Australia is the subject of the next Laois Heritage Society talk on Thursday, November 17, at 8pm in the Heritage Hotel.

Rory O’Dwyer historian and lecturer in UCC will give a most interesting talk on the ‘Transportation of Irish Convicts to Australia’.

Come along and hear more about the Irish who went on to contribute to the continent of Oz. All welcome.
