Mountrath Children’s Playground committee wish to kindly thank the 22 adults and 18 children from Mountrath and the Ballyroan /Abbeyleix athletic club for their participation in the walk which was organised on November 17 to raise money for a new piece of equipment for the playground. The committee would also like to thank the individuals/families who made a donation. It was very disappointing to see such a small turn out of locals on the day. The playground/park is a wonderful amenity but without the support of the community the maintenance and further development of the playground/park will be in question.
