Ballacolla Tidy Town

The AGM of Ballacolla Tidy Towns was held on Saturday November 9 in St Patricks Hall Ballacolla. There was a good attendance. The minutes of the last AGM was read. Chairman Noel Shiel thanked everyon for their help over the past year. He said it was a succesful year as we retained our second place in Laois in the National Tidy Town Competition and we were also awarded a Bronze medal. We also tied for first place with Timahoe in the anti litter challenge competition in large village catagory in Laois. Officers elected for the coming year Chairman Noel Shiel Vice Chairman Liam Hyland Secretary Noreen Byrne Treasurers Seames Maher Gerry Henry Committie Barry Hyland Danny Hanlon Alfiee Phelan Clifford Roe Dan Shiel

Next meeting first week in December.

ABC Club

Meeting in St Patricks hall Ballacolla on Wednesday November 27 th 2.30.to 4.30 all welcome

Clough ICA

The monthly meeting of Clough ICA was held on Thursday November 14 in Clough Hall. Get Well wishes were extended to Kathleen Gorman. Correspondence was read re Federation Meeting in Castletown on Sunday November 24. members will be attending.Guild Christmas party was discussed and it will be held in Castle Arms Hotel Durrow on Tuesday December 17. Competition Winners Sheila Coonan Maura McEvoy Maureen Dobbyn Raffle winners Noreen Byrne Breda Phelan. Competition For December 6 mince pies. Next meeting on December 12.
