Students from Mountmellick CS recently travelled back in time when they went on a tour of the National History Museum at Collins Barracks.
A lot of the artefacts there are from areas in history students are studying such as The 1916 Rising, The War of Independence and the Civil War.
One of the students said: “it was an extremely enjoyable trip, as we could relate to all of the history on show, as it is on our Leaving Cert course. I would definitely recommend it to any history student or anyone interested in Irish Military History”.
