Walkers

Walkers meet every morning at 9.30am in the square for a walk around the Tea Rooms up to Heywood Gardens.

Bingo

Bingo will be held in the Old School Community Hall for the foreseeable future due to renovations in the Old Hall. Over €1,200 in prize money, also a raffle on the night. Come and enjoy a great night out and you might be lucky.

First Aid

Spink Community Development Association hosts an Emergency First Aid course being run in Knock Hall on November 26 by Ali Shrahestani (Ali Active Training) from 7-9pm with a q&a afterwards. €10 open to all. Contact Ali, Michael Mc Evoy, Anne Cass, Peggy Costigan, Noreen Cahill, Eamonn Brophy, Michael Kehoe or committee member.

Christmas Fair

The date for our Christmas Fair has been set for Sunday the 15th of December. Mark it in your diary and please come out and support.

Active Retirement

Active retirement every Wednesday in the Old School Community Hall, 1pm with dinner.

HEYWOOD SCHOOL

Heywood Community School, Ballinakill, open Night for prospective first year students and their parents on Thursday, 29 November, 2013 from 7-9 pm. All welcome.

Cards

There was 7 tables. Winners on 12 games were Peter Delaney and Martin Walsh, Mary Kelly and Noreen Ryan, Tom Moore and Fint Phelan. Raffle winners were Tom Fenelon, Mary Kelly, Peter Delaney, Eilis Phelan.

Juvenile GAA

Juvenile GAA are holding their AGM in the GAA meeting room at the pitch on Friday 29th of November at 8.30pm. All members are asked to attend.

LATE ANNE WALSH

Condolences to the family of the late Anne Walsh (née Healy) of Lowhill, Ballinakill, who passed away on Saturday, November 16. Wife of the late Paddy, she is deeply regretted by her brother John, sister Catherine, relatives and friends. Reposed at Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlecomer, with removal to The Church of the Assumption Ballyouskill for funeral mass followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.
