LAOIS SENIOR SCÓR

Laois senior scór competitions take place in Camross on Saturday 22 February. Registration at 7.30 pm and competitions start at 8 pm. Competitions include figure dancing, solo singing, recitation, instrumental music, novelty act, ballad group, set dancing and senior quiz. Anyone interested can contact Kevin Lalor-Fitzpatrick at 087 9614235. Scór na nÓg table quiz takes place in Portlaoise on Friday 21 February. To take part in this competition you must be under 17 on 1 January 2014.

ST FINTAN’S GAELS

St. Fintan’s Gaels calendars for 2014 are now available at a cost of 10 euro each from John Sinnott or Seamus Lahart.

HOLY LAND PILGRIMAGE

A 13-day pilgrimage to the Holy Land will take place form 1 to 13 March 2014. The trip will take in Bethlehem, Nazareth, The visitation site, Sea of Galilee, Cana, Capernaum, Mount Tabor, Mount of the Beatitudes, Jericho, Bethany, Gethsemane, Mount of Olives, Jerusalem, Masada and the Dead Sea. The cost of the trip is €1885pps and a single supplement of €290 applies. The spiritual director for the trip will be Fr.
