Wee Recycling
Free WEEE Ireland electrical and battery recycling afternoon supported by Laois County Council. All batteries recycled on the day will go towards the ‘Spread a Little Sunshine’ campaign in aid of LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice. Takes place St Michael’s Church car park on Tuesday, February 4 from 2-6pm.
GAA
Timahoe GAA Club’s monster draw tickets are now on sale, with the first draw to be held in March. Tickets are €130 or €32.50 per month and are essential to the running of the club.
FOROIGE
Went to the cinema and a disco in Ratheniska in recent weeks, a good time was had by all. The club are back meeting as normal and planning some other events.
TIDY TOWNS

GYM
Last Sunday the new club chairman JJ Ramsbottom and club sponsor Anthony Mallon officially opened the gym. The local GAA club have redesigned two of the four dressing rooms and turned them into a gym. The gym is well stocked and it is a credit to all involved, yet again Timahoe people supported an innovative project in the Village. The gym is open to all fitness enthusiasts to join it includes treadmills, exercise bicycles, rowing machine, cross trainers, full set of all free weights and machines, punch bags and other typical gym equipment.
