Death

The death has occurred of Michael (Mikey) Moylan of Grennan, Attanagh after attaining the great age of 92 years. Well-known & respected Michael took part in many amateur dramas. He was extremely talented at reciting poems such as Dan McGrew and the Cremation of Sam McGee to name a but a few and conveyed all the characters with great dramatic vigour much to his listeners’ delight. Reposed at Phelan’s Funeral Home. Removal to the Holy Trinity Church, Durrow. Requiem mass took place on Saturday morning at 11am followed by burial in Ballyouskill cemetery. Deeply mourned by his brother John, sister Katie, sister in law Sheila, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, relatives and many friends.

May he rest in peace.

Progressive 25

There were six tables at last Friday night’s (January 24) 25 Progressive Card Games in Ballyouskill Hall.

The winners were Gerry Kelly and Sean Shea (13 games); Patsy Holohan and Johnny Kelly (11 games).
