TIMAHOE

MEDLEY DAY

MEDLEY DAY

Medley day this year is on June 29. All the usual Medley Day favourites including juvenile races, bouncy castle, bottle stall, penny on square, pallet of treasure, needle in a hay stack, milk the cow, detonator, mouse racing, duck racing, and guess how long a car will run without oil and water. And of course loads more and loads of fun for the kids. We will be selling burgers and hot dogs on the day. We will also have the annual donkey derby and stricter guidelines have been proposed this year regarding the entrants. The highlight of the day will be the visit of the Laois Rose of Tralee Teresa Brennan to judge the annual fancy dress competition for the kids.

TIMAHOE HERITAGE CENTRE

The Timahoe Heritage centre will officially open in the Willie Headen Library on the morning of Medley Day, Sunday June 29 at 11.30am. It will open in conjunction with a fund-raising coffee morning. The centre, it is hoped, will be a multi-purpose community building and welcoming centre for visitors. It will house general information on the Monastic Site and Timahoe in general. We hope to continuously add information over time and make the centre a place for all to visit. Everyone is welcome to attend.

TIDY TOWNS

Please help keep the village clean and tidy.

Foroige

We enjoyed our outing to Alton towers last Saturday. Club is finished now for the year and will resume in October. All new leaders welcome.
