Aghaboe Abbey 40 year celebration

The Aghaboe Abbey Preservation Committee are celebrating 40 years at the Abbey in The Hawthorn Community Hall in Ballacolla on Thursday October 2. The Garda Band will be playing on the night, and tickets are available from all committee members. Funds raised will go towards the upkeep of the Abbey and the adjoining graveyard and carpark. All support is very welcome.

Ballacolla Tidy Towns Lotto

The jackpot of €2400 was not won on August 25.

The Jackpot on Monday September 1 will be €2600.

The numbers drawn were 9, 18, 24, and 27.

The winners of €25 were Devine Family, Shelagh Maher, Fr Noel Maher, Jim Kirwin and Seames Maher.

Tickets are available from Hawthorn Glanbia and committee members.

Clough ICA

The Clough ICA Guild resumes activities after the summer break on Thursday September 11 in Clough Hall at 8pm.

We hope that all members can attend.

ABC Club

Meetings resume in St Patrick’s Hall in Ballacolla on Wednesday September 17 from 2pm to 4pm.

Hopefully all members will attend and bring a new members along. Everyone welcome.
