Passion play

Ballylinan are again in preparation mode for Passion Play 2015 which will be staged from March 29 and ending on Good Friday, April 3 in Ballylinan. An open meeting takes place in St. Ann’s Hall, Ballylinan, on Tuesday, November 11 at 8pm for all interested in being part of the cast or helping out on any one of the many crews that are essential in making Passion Play 2015 happen. Bereavement Mass

The annual Mass to remember all our parishioners who died during the past year and all family members who died during the past year will be celebrated on Friday 28th November at 7.30pm in St Clare’s.

Deceased

The names of the faithful departed who parishioners would like remembered and prayed for during November can be handed into the parish office or placed in the November Sacred Space. A sheet and envelope are provided in the box of church envelopes and all loved ones who have died will be remembered at all our Masses during November.

Thursday Mornings

Every Thursday after the 10am Mass in St Clare’s. People are invited to come to the parish centre for tea / coffee and some friendly chat.

PRAYER INTERCESSORS

These people are available to pray regularly but individually for the life of the parish as well as specific intentions that arise from time to time. If you have a family member who is seriously ill or is undergoing a major operation or any other special request please ring the parish office (9141833) and we will send out a group text to request prayers. In order to maintain confidentiality we do not use names in the texts. If you are interested joining this new ministry please give your name and mobile number to the parish office.

Food Kitchen

We are still giving out 150 food parcels each week. We would like to thank everyone for their continuous support through food and donations. All food donations can still be left in the food barrels at the church doors or in the Parish Centre.

Bingo

Every Tuesday night @ 8.30pm in St Fiacc’s Hall. Great money to be won on the night. Jackpot €1,220 in 44 nos. Check on couble number & win €1,860.

Blessed Sacrament

Adoration in St. Fiacc’s House every Wednesday from 10.30am to 2.30pm.

Niall Mellon

Vera Smith & Catherine Nolan are heading off shortly to Mthatha in South Africa with the Niall Mellon Educate to help build two new Schools and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported them in their fundraising efforts.

Fiacc’s House Draw

Annual Draw will take place on Monday 15th December, 2014. Cards available from Fiacc’s House or ring Margo on 086 3981213. This is our main fundraiser for the year and new promoters are welcome.

Womens Group

Carers Association

Information Day for family Carers coming up on Thursday November 13 in the Arboretum, Leighlinbridge from 9.30am to 1 pm. We’ll have stalls from other organisations which may be of benefit to Carers and there will also be a chance to try out one of our support group meetings where we’ll have informative talks and Questions & Answers session. St Vincent de Paul

Vincent’s shop at 46 Tullow Street Carlow urgently needs donations of small furniture items ,household goods, bric-a-brac,good quality clothes and any unwanted presents you may have put away at the back of the wardrobe.
