The Mountrath GAA club have decided after the successful festival last year, to run one again this year. It takes place down in the GAA grounds from Wednesday, July 1 to Sunday July 5 with a little bit of something that will suit everyone’s taste. On Wednesday we kick the festival off with Chef Neven Maguire, on Thursday night we have Neily O Connor Ceili Band, Friday sees the return of Pat Costello and also the great Mike Denver, Saturday sees Royal Flush play and on Sunday the annual Monster Bingo will take place from 2-30pm. Also on Sunday night to end what we hope will be a successful and enjoyable festival is a fancy dress 70’s & 80’s disco with DJ Noel Brennan. Prices etc for each night will be finalised over the next week or two and will be posted on facebook, papers, posters etc from then.
