Pantomine 2015

Pantomine 2015

It’s Panto time again in Rathdowney for the 29th successive year and the 2015 pantomime ‘You Can’t Hurry Love’ promises to be up there among the best of its predecessors. The new Panto, penned by Michael Creagh and Niall O’Doherty is a romantic comedy / musical based on six unmarried flat mates who have no intention of walking down the aisle, until they are offered one million dollars to the first one to take the plunge. The story follows the lengths the friends go to in order to procure a life partner as quickly as possible before someone else beats them to it. From the streets of New York they travel to the ski-slopes of Lapland and to the sun-baked beaches of Florida seeking husbands and wives. They court Princes and Paupers, Showgirls and Serial Killers, Cops and Robbers. They sing and dance their way around the world with a wide variety of modern and traditional musical numbers. The show begins on Thursday March 12 at 8 pm and continues on Friday, March 13, Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15 all at 8 pm, but with a Matinee on Sunday, March 15 at 2.30 pm.

To get the best seats it is preferable to book your ticket in advance at The Card Stand, The Square, Rathdowney - phone 0505 46758 but booking is not essential and you should get in most nights without hassle.
