The death took place suddenly, following a short illness of Morgan Cashin, Swan Road, Durrow, in St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny on Sunday morning February 17,2013. In his ninety fourth year Morgan is a member of a large and very much respected family in Durrow and his death brings much sadness to the parish. Only the previous week Morgan’s brother Joe died in Dublin and these two death brings to a end a great era of the Cashin family. Morgan is survived by his loving wife Bridget, sons John, Paul and Morgan, daughter-in-law Kathleen and Mary, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends and neighbours. The huge attendance at his wake and rosary in Brookhaven Nursing Home and a the funeral mass and burial in Durrow on Tuesday morning paid their last respects to a really lovely man and to offer to the Cashin Family their hearth felt sympathy at the death of Morgan. Requiem Mass was celebrated in the church of the Most Holy Trinity, Durrow followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Sincerest sympathy is extended to Bridget and the Cashin family on their great loss.
