THE LATE TOMMY WHITE The death occurred on March 23rd at Tullamore Hospital of Tommy White, Castlefleming, Errill following a long illness.

Sympathy is extended to his father, sisters, brothers, uncle, aunt-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends. His remains were removed on Saturday 24th March from O’Sullivans Funeral Home Rathdowney to Errill Church. A Guard of Honour from Errill GAA Club escorted Tommy from the village to the Church. Following Requiem Mass on Sunday he was buried in Bealady Cemetery. May he rest in peace.

THE LATE PADDY SHERMAN

Sympathy is extended to the wife and family of the late Patrick Sherman, Graigue, Rathdowney who died recently. He is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Ann, son-in-law Jim, grandsons, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The late Paddy and his late brother Bertie played hurling and were members of the Errill team which won the Laois Senior Hurling Final in 1952. The Club provided a Guard of Honour at Galmoy Church on Tuesday 20th March. Burial took place the following day after Requiem Mass in Galmoy Cemetery. May he rest in peace.

The numbers drawn on 26th March were 5 – 7 – 12 and 27. There were four match three winners. The jackpot on April 2 will be €8,400. Tickets from the usual outlets.

ERRILL TIDY TOWNS AGM

The Annual General Meeting of Errill Tidy Towns which was advertised last week as taking in the Health Centre on Wednesday, April 11 at 8pm has been deferred to Wednesday 18th April at 8:00 pm. Anybody with an interest in keeping our village tidy is welcome to attend.

EASTER CEREMONIES IN ERRILL

Holy Thursday – Confessions from 7:00 pm to 8pm. Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 8pm. Trócaire boxes can be returned to this Mass and placed in basket at the back of the Church.

Good Friday – Celebration of the Lord’s Passion at 3pm. Stations of the Cross at 8pm; Holy Saturday – Celebration of the Easter Vigil and First Mass of Easter at 9pm; Easter Sunday – Mass for Easter Morning at 10am
