The handsome sum of €2,563.50 was presented by Teach O’Seachnasaigh, Ballinakill to the Irish Cancer Society recently.

The money was raised over a two-day ‘Shave, Dye or Wax’ event that was held in the pub last April. Kevin Delaney accepted the cheque on behalf of The Irish Cancer Society.

Fifteen people volunteered to place themselves in the capable hands of local beauticians Alison Keenan and Davina Carroll and hairdresser Julie Drennan assisted by Beth-Ann O’Shaughnessy.

Music on both nights was provided by Adrian O’Shaughnessy.

Rachel Doheny from Teach O’Seachnasaigh was full of thanks for all who took part, including local businesses who sponsored prizes.

“A big thanks to anyone who helped in any way. Here’s to “Shave, Dye or Wax” 2012,” she said.
