The BCP was established in 1993 to help with the child victims of the fallout from the Chernobyl reactor explosion. Every year the BCP Medical Programme sends teams of nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists to provide support and training in paediatric orphanages across Belarus. On Saturday October 13 a fundraising night will be held in Goode’s Bar Rosenallis in aid of this worthy cause. The theme of the night is ‘Mad Hatters’ which means that everyone comes on the night wearing a hat. Anything goes from a ‘shower hat to a fashion piece from the catwalk’. Tickets are €5 each and will be available locally or pay at the door on the night. There will be live music, refreshments, a raffle and prize for best hat. All money raised will be solely donated to the Burren Chernobyl Project.
