Commencing Monday July 30 the biggest Laois dance festival and the brain child of local dance teacher

Maureen Culleton, will take place in Ballyfin Community Centre. On that night Danny Webster will provide the music for the céilí at 8.30pm. On Tuesday 31 the action moves to Sheerans Thatched Pub Coolrain for a rambling house where all are welcome to come along and join in the music, song and dance, admission free. On Wednesday August 1, the music for the céilí is provided by Cork duet, Tim-Joe and Ann O’Riordan. Thursday there will be a guided Slieve Bloom walk for all abilities, assemble at community centre at 2pm. Donations if desired to Irish Heart Foundation. The music for the céilí that night is Brian Ború céilí band from Dublin. Midweek céilithe at 8.30pm. Friday 3 will be Johnny Reidy céilí band from Kerry at 9.30pm. For anyone wishing to learn the art of set dancing there will be a workshop on Saturday August 4 from 11am - 4pm with lunch break. Bring packed lunch, free tea and coffee in hall. Céilí that night with Glenside 9.30pm.T here are two céilithe on Sunday August 5, Céilí Time from Omagh play from 4pm, followed by a two hour rambling house in the community centre.
