Macra present ‘Cinderella’ from Thursday February 11 to Sunday February 14 in the Macra Hall. Curtains up at 8.15pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and at the earlier time of 7pm on Sunday. Mountmellick Drama Group stage Neil Simon’s ‘Plaza Suite’ on Thursday, Friday and Saturday February 18, 19, 20 in the Concert Hall. Mountmellick United AFC are holding their Strictly Come Dancing fundraiser event in The Heritage Hotel, Portlaoise on Saturday February 13 at 8pm. Special guest MC and a late night disco afterwards. Open meeting in the Parish Church today Tuesday evening after mass (8pm) to plan for this year’s “Giving Sunday” on March

20, the main annual fundraiser for the Parish. All help is appreciated.


The bible study group, facilitated by Rev William Hayes, has changed from Tuesday to Wednesday nights at 8pm in MDA.

Library membership is now free. The adult colouring group meets on Thursdays at 10.30am.  If you have a colouring book bring it along. The library knitting group meets from 10.30am to noon on Wednesdays. All are welcome to come along for a chat and a cuppa.

Special Olympics Ireland urgently requires volunteers in the Mountmellick area to help with their annual charity collection day on Friday April 22, which is the main fundraiser for Special Olympics.
