Six students from Heywood CS have achieved nine to ten Higher Level A grades in their Junior Cert results.
“These students maintained a sensible balance as they were also involved in sport, music and extra-curricular activities in school,” said Principal Philip Bowe.
He had further praise for Ruth Bergin and Ellen McWey.
“On the basis of their outstanding results in Science and Mathematics they were invited to take part in the prestigious Irish Junior Science Olympiad,” he said.
This year 121 students sat the exams at Heywood.
“The results are testament to the hard work of students and teachers and the support of parents. Congratulations to all and the best of luck in future studies,” Mr Bowe said.
