A table quiz will be held on Friday April 20 at 9pm in Swan’s Pub in aid of Nurture Africa. Grace Digan is volunteering in Uganda where she will be teaching for the summer. Please support Grace in her efforts to raise much needed funds for this worthy cause.

Clonaslee College Parents Council thank the parents and local businesses for their generous donations towards prizes. Thanks also to all who sold and bought raffle cards, and to the parents who sold raffle cards in the Bridge Centre Tullamore. The money raised will be spent for the benefit of all students. The Irish Kidney Association thanks everyone who supported their recent church gate collection and the collectors. Total raised was €646.82.

Rosenalis & Clonaslee Gaels Ladies Football Club will be disbanded for this year if players and mentors do not attend a meeting on Wednesday April 18 at 8pm in the community centre. Parents are encouraged to support ladies football, bring your daughters to the field and get involved. It is in your own interest to get your child active. Please attend or the club will be gone.
Funds raised at the recent church gate collection will go towards installing monitor alarms for the elderly. Anyone who no longer requires the alarm owing to bereavement, or just not using it, please return to the committee. These alarms belong to the committee and can be installed for someone else. Monitoring fee is €66 per year, they are monitored around the clock. Thank you for your support in the past.
CLEAN UP LAOIS WEEK
Clonaslee Tidy Towns will be out Wednesday April 18 and Thursday April 19 where the starting point is the Heritage Centre at 6 pm. All roads leading to the village will be done, also all estates, village, Brittas Wood and Brittas Lake, plus many other areas. We welcome any clubs in the parish to come along and help. Transport for collecting bags and taken to collection point would be much appreciated. We hope the schools will also get involved. Litter pickers, gloves, bags and jackets will be supplies. PARENT TODDLER GROUP
Parent toddler group is on Tuesdays from 9.30am – 11.30am in the Clonaslee Community Centre. Cost is €3 per family. It is for children age 0 – 4 yrs and is a great opportunity for children to play with each other and for parents to get together. No need to book a place.
